Blasting is a cleaning process by abrasive material which removes the rolled oxide layer, the oxide layer formed during cutting and the possible corrosion from the surface of the steel substrate by spraying the surface of the material with small hard particles. The quality of the cleaned surface is adjusted by the hardness, size and spray intensity of the material used for spraying.
